I grew up in Australia as the son of an immigrant family, and that experience has shaped much of my perspective on inclusion and belonging. My inspirational grandmother was a Holocaust survivor, being the only person in her immediate family to make it out of Auschwitz alive, and this has had a profound impact on my life, reminding me that silence in the face of injustice is never an option.
After studying Actuarial Studies in Australia, I became a CFA Charterholder and have worked in portfolio management for my entire career, both in Australia but mainly in the UK, where I moved over 20 years ago. I have worked in both institutional portfolio management and also within private banks.
I live with Crohn’s Disease – an invisible disability – which has taught me the importance of empathy, resilience and accessible workplaces. Through Inclusion in Finance, I want to help break down barriers and support others navigating their careers while managing both visible and invisible disabilities. I believe that real inclusion starts with creating environments where people feel safe to bring their whole selves to work.
I am married with two teenage children. I am a lover of sport, adventurous travel and spending time with my family.
