Kate Parker

Head of LGPS and UK Treasury

I am white British, grew up in the North East and then the South East of England, and attended a grammar school before heading to the University of Exeter to study French and Russian.  I somewhat fell into a career in financial services, just as the Russian market was taking off in the early 2000s. I spent time on the investment banking sides of Deustche Bank and JPMorgan, before moving across to Asset Management, where I’ve worked in client solutions and business development roles at Pioneer Investments, Payden & Rygel and Royal London Asset Management.  I feel passionately about encouraging young people, from diverse backgrounds, into asset management and am involved in our intern and graduate recruitment processes.  I am married to a paediatric hospital doctor and have a teenage daughter.
