This Inclusion in Finance webinar brought together professional experts and individuals with lived experience of racism to share practical advice and insights on how organisations can better address these challenges and support their employees.
The session explored the impact of rising Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and anti-immigration sentiment, and the challenges this creates for firms seeking to provide support, reassurance, and inclusive workplaces for all employees while navigating different perspectives and experiences.
The webinar was designed for senior leaders, communications teams, and anyone interested in understanding and addressing these important issues.
The session included:
- Sharing stories: A discussion with panellists from Inclusion in Finance member firms, who shared their experiences and insights into what has worked well, as well as the challenges they have encountered.
- Expert panel discussion: A conversation focused on addressing Islamophobia, anti-Semitic behaviour, and racial abuse experienced by specific minority groups.
The webinar also shared high-level findings from a 2024 survey conducted by Reboot, providing further insight into experiences and perspectives across the industry.
Inclusion in Finance’s Safe Space was also highlighted as a resource available to those working in the industry, providing an opportunity to share experiences of poor behaviour and seek support.
