In partnership with How Do You Do It, Inclusion in Finance was delighted to host a webinar in honour of UK Carers Week. The 2026 theme, Building Carer Friendly Communities, complemented Inclusion in Finance’s global ambition of creating more inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
The session explored how organisations can better recognise, support and empower employees with caring responsibilities, while highlighting the important role employers play in creating carer-friendly workplaces and communities. Speakers shared practical insights, lived experiences and examples of good practice, providing attendees with ideas they could take back to their own organisations.
Attendees heard from expert speakers and took part in discussions on:
- The challenges faced by unpaid carers in balancing work and caring responsibilities.
- What it means to build truly carer-friendly communities and workplaces.
- Practical actions organisations can take to better support carers.
- How inclusive policies and cultures can improve outcomes for both employees and businesses
