About us
Who we are
Inclusion in Finance is a cross-company initiative working to accelerate progress towards a more inclusive, higher-performing finance industry. We bring together 130 member firms globally, with a combined AUM of over £21 trillion. We operate across financial services in the UK, Europe and North America.
With over 110 members, that have more than 85,000 employees represented in the UK alone our network has the scale to drive change that matters, and the current environment makes that work more urgent than ever.
Join us and together we can shape the future of financial services.
Our mission
At Inclusion in Finance we bring together firms across major financial centres to reshape the finance industry to achieve better outcomes.
Our focus is underpinned by the twin foundations of inclusion and cognitive diversity to power robust decision-making and long-term business success.
Our members are asset owners, investment managers, fund selectors, family offices, investment consultants, actuaries, investment banks, insurers, trustees and wealth managers. Our partners and supporters include data providers, recruiters, professional standards authorities, trade bodies and other organisations within the industry.
Our vision
By getting this right, we will have embedded inclusion, created opportunity for all talent, and develop cognitive diversity that powers innovation. This creates value for clients, member firms and individuals as well as finance globally in the long-term.
In this future, representation improves, culture thrives, and the industry appeals to, attracts and develops a broad range of exceptional talent.
This finance industry earns trust because it delivers sustainable success to clients.

Testimonials
Being members of Inclusion in Finance has helped across all functions of our business. We think carefully about how we attract and retain talented team members from a wide variety of backgrounds. Inclusion in Finance membership gives us access to tools, information and colleagues from across the industry to help us make sure we support our people in the best way possible. A number of our team members have participated in specific work streams and projects and I have personally greatly benefited from being part of the recent work on cognitive diversity.

As a conduit for change within financial services, Inclusion in Finance’s leadership inspires us and similar firms to build a corporate culture that reflects the diversity of our clients and one that includes and values all of our people. Since becoming a member firm, we’ve made positive changes within Julius Baer International, and been able to contribute to the best practices for all. Together we will build an industry that is more in tune with the society around us, more relevant for our clients and those in the future, and more of a level playing field for all employees to succeed.

No single investment or finance company can create the modern, diverse and inclusive industry we are aiming for, but I’m confident that over 100 working together can!

Allspring proudly joined Inclusion in Finance UK in 2022. As a firm, we believe deeply in the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion as by encompassing a broader range of ideas, experiences and skills we are better investors and stewards of our client’s capital.
The power of this membership is that we can connect across the savings industry to work collaboratively to improve both our current employee experience and the accessibility of our industry to a broader talent pool – here we are living one of our core values of #delivermoretogether. Inclusion in Finance has proven to be a highly valuable platform with its breadth of committee and work stream structures allowing us the opportunity to further engage in the inclusion dialogue at all seniority levels of our firm.

How we work
Inclusion in Finance is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with its own Board, responsible for governance, finances and ensuring the organisation operates in line with its mission.
The organisation is overseen by a CEO Advisory Council, which provides strategic input and business leadership.
A Steering Committee leads the implementation of the strategy, through specific work streams.
A further group of individuals, ambassadors, members, supporters and partners from all levels of the industry, help deepen the work through individual engagement.
